OUR VISION

MEET NIKKI THOMSON FOUNDER

Passion for nature and science

My name is Nikki.  I’m a wife, mum and founder of Back to nature kids. I have a passion for science, nature and the environment. I studied Environmental, Biological and Biomedical Sciences at University and have worked as a Scientist for over 20 years.

I’m mum to 2 beautiful kids aged 6 and 7.  As a mum, I’m becoming increasingly concerned about the future of our environment with issues from the climate crisis to mass deforestation becoming more evident. Kids are our future and I believe it is a necessity that they have a good understanding of science and nature in order to make the right choices about our planet.

Spending time in nature is also essential for a child’s development. It builds confidence, develops creativity and imagination, gets kids moving, makes them think,  reduces stress and fatigue and teaches them responsibility.

Back to nature kids was born to address these issues by educating kids about our environment, nature and science by bringing you fun facts and projects to stimulate young minds
